Our well-respected, growth-oriented powersports dealership group client in the Southeast is seeking a Sales Manager to help lead a high-volume, multi-line dealership operation. This is a confidential search for an experienced powersports sales manager who thrives in a metric-focused retail environment and wants a clear pathway toward GSM or General Manager leadership.
The dealership represents four major anchor brands, including three leading metric OEMs and two established North American brands, offering a strong, diverse product mix across multiple riding segments.
The location offers the best of both worlds: a tight-knit community of approximately 20,000 residents, within 40 minutes of a metropolitan area of roughly 750,000 people. Housing remains affordable compared to major metro markets, with median home prices generally ranging from $280,000 to $330,000 depending on property type and location.

Position Overview
The Sales Manager will oversee the day-to-day performance of the sales department while driving results through structured processes, accountability, and KPI management. The role requires a strong understanding of metric-driven retail operations, team leadership, and dealership profitability.
This individual will work closely with executive leadership and other department heads to maintain sales momentum, improve operational efficiency, and build a strong pipeline of future dealership leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the dealership sales team to consistently achieve unit and gross profit objectives
- Drive a culture of accountability, professionalism, and customer-focused sales execution
- Conduct daily sales meetings to review performance, pipeline activity, and dealership priorities
Performance Management
- Monitor and manage key dealership metrics, including unit volume, gross profit, close rates, and lead conversion
- Ensure CRM utilization and follow-up processes are executed consistently by the sales team
- Analyze sales performance and implement strategies to improve results
Operational Execution
- Maintain structured sales processes that support consistent deal flow and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with F&I, parts, and service departments to maximize dealership profitability
- Support inventory management and merchandising strategies in coordination with leadership
Leadership Development
- Mentor and develop emerging leaders within the sales team
- Contribute to building the dealership's long-term leadership bench
- Demonstrate readiness to grow into GSM or GM responsibilities over time
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a multi-line powersports dealership environment
- Proven success in managing sales performance in a KPI driven retail operation
- Experience working with performance groups or 20 groups is highly valued
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
- Process-oriented mindset with the ability to implement and maintain structured dealership systems
- Demonstrated ambition to grow into broader dealership leadership roles
