Human Resources Generalist | Powersports
Location: South Central, US
Compensation: $65K-$70K
A growing, privately owned dealership group is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support seven dealership locations across Texas. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, improving processes, and supporting a growing organization.
We are looking for a positive, outgoing professional who can effectively support employees and managers while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. Periodic travel to dealership locations throughout Texas may be required, typically a few days per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Support HR operations across multiple dealership locations
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee retention initiatives
- Support performance management, employee development, and benefits administration
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation while ensuring compliance and confidentiality
- Assist with compliance related to federal, state, and local employment laws
- Investigate employee concerns and help identify practical solutions
- Develop and improve HR processes, procedures, and best practices
- Create employee communications, forms, policies, and training materials
- Partner with leadership on employee engagement and organizational improvement initiatives
- Travel periodically to dealership locations throughout Texas
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience
- Experience in multiple HR disciplines, including recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and performance management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR-related software
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a growing organization
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
- Experience developing policies, procedures, and operational workflows
- Multi-location retail, dealership, automotive, powersports, RV, marine, or related industry experience
